Rock The Week

Fashion related (and totally non-fashion related) things that have made my world go round over the last seven days…

Ship-Shape and Bristol Fashion Rock The Week

  • The blog has been looking a little sparse this week but that’s because I’ve barley had a chance to sit at the computer. One reason being that Mr Ship-Shape and I celebrated our seven year anniversary this week. We marked the occasion with dinner at Loch Fyne (mussels, smoked haddock and potted mackerel  – need I say more!?) and seeing comedian Josie Long at The Hen & Chicken in Southville. Joise was insanely funny and her tour, Romance and Adventure, is a must if you want to see her rap in the style of a 1930s film noir detective, or give Ed Milliband’s speeches a whole new meaning…
  • As if one night of comedy wasn’t enough, this week I also saw the Bristol leg of Robin Ince’s Happiness Through Science tour. Despite being far from a physics wizz, I had a great night and loved the opportunity to have a good laugh. Plus there was pizza, which always signifies a good night out : )
  • Babies have been on my radar again this week as I spent the weekend visiting my parents and catching up with several friends and their new children. I’m definitely more comfortable holding newborns, but still have no idea what toddlers are trying to say – no doubt it’ll all sink in one day!
