Fashion related (and totally non-fashion related) things that have made my world go round over the last seven days…
- #firstandforever. On Tuesday night I met up with Beth, Hayles and Bonny for the launch of the new Dr Martens store in Broadmead. It was a wicked night, with live music from The Fauns and Idles, dancing from Big Jeff and lots of shoe gazing!
- Party surprises. Last night I went to a surprise birthday party in Cheltenham and before long the evening descended into a blur of party games, including balancing biscuits on our heads and flipping cups on the table. It may sound ludicrous, but I feel lucky to have such a great group of friends that are silly and not afraid to make fools of themselves in the pursuit of happiness.
- Blogging ignition. It feels like everyone else in the blogsphere has been left feeling a bit short-changed by the weather recently, so I’ve relished reading IFB’s tips to cure laziness and taking outfit shots indoors.
- Part of my efforts to prise myself from my anti-autumn funk have involved retail therapy. This week’s outfit post showed of my new maroon maxi skirt and H&M tee – swoon! I’ve also attempted to get back into a half decent exercise routine, spent the evenings baking (Hummingbird Bakery brownies) and catching up with friends – it’s my own way of sticking to fingers up at winter : )
