Rock The Week #102

Dresses at Bristol Vintage Fair

How is it March already!? I can’t believe how quickly the last two months have gone, but I’m so excited that it’s finally spring. This week has been all about the letter ‘B’, from blog meets to bristol vintage fairs and blog clubs…

Blog Club

On Wednesday the second Bonjour Blogger Blog Club took place and the topic of the evening was writers block. It’s something I suffer from if I spend too much time sat at my computer, so it was great to hear everyone’s thoughts on how to cure it. My tip is taking a blogging break and getting away from technology for a day or two.

Bristol Vintage Fair

Yesterday my friend S and I popped along to the Bristol Vintage Fair at The Passenger Shed, near Temple Meads, and somehow managed to stay for a whopping four hours. I’m not quite sure how we did it, as the fair felt quieter than previous ones, but I have several new items to show for it, including a beautiful 1950s summer dress and a questionable mustard coloured cropped blouse.

#BrizBlogMeet

Today I spent the afternoon at Emily’s Briz Blog Meet at the recently revamped Vodka Revolution. After going out for a run and having breakfast at The Bristolian, I meet up with Hayley and Lyzi for lunch before we headed to the meet, where Emily had laid on treats from Lush, cocktails and some rather epic goodie bags. It was lovely to catch up with Lily and meet some new faces, too.

This week I’ve been…

Blogging about: Clothes swap gems (I’ve worn a clothes swap item almost every day this week), my review of the sonic cleansing system, Magnitone Pulsar, and my new favourite vintage shop – Time After Time.

Listening to: First Aid Kit, KT Tunstall and Fat Boy Slim.

Watching: Girls, season one. Yes, I know, I’m incredibly behind the times, but this week the first season of Girls finally arrived, after sitting on our LoveFilm list for months. Whoever was lazy enough to compare the show to Sex and The City was seriously misguided – it’s far more realistic and cringy!

Reading: Take A Look at Me Now by Miranda Dickinson. The romantic element to this story is a little dull but this reason I decided to read this was because it’s all about a Brit who goes on a life-changing trip to San Francisco – a hot topic since I’m going on holiday there this month.
