A couple of weeks ago Mr Ship-Shape and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary. How two years have passed is simply baffling to me, but passed they have, and along with another year comes the traditional anniversary gift. The first year is traditionally marked with paper, and this year we advanced to cotton – there is quite a way to go before one can get their mitts on diamonds and rubies – which translates to this beautiful summer dress.
Despite having what some friends and family have delicately call an ‘eclectic’ taste in clothes, I’m not the easiest of people to shop for, so I was blown away when I opened this colourful cotton sundress from Oasis. It’s lightweight and has captured the cotton theme perfectly, with an exposed zip, double peter pan collar and coral coloured skinny belt.
I wore it on our celebratory restaurant crawl, complete with my old H&M tweed jacket and glitter-tastic ankle boots. I know I’ll get lots of wear out of this dress this summer and it could easily be worn during autumn with a pair of colourful tights and a t-shirt or blouse underneath. The fact it was a gift makes it that much more special. Here’s to the next two years!

He did very well! Only problem is it’s hand wash only which is a bit of pain as I rarely get around to hand washing stuff!
