Bath in Fashion preview pt. 2

Make up tutorials at Little Lab, Milsom Place

Hello! Welcome to the second part of the Bath in Fashion preview I attended a couple of weeks ago. On Monday I mentioned that the BIF Bloggers started with a tea and scones at the Fashion Museum, and this post shares what we did after we left the museum.

First of all we were split into two groups and I was conveniently paired with the lovely bloggers I’d hitched a ride with, along with Bath In Fashion’s Nicky Hancock and Amy Hart. First stop on our tour of Bath’s independent fashion hotspots was Prey. Situated a stone’s throw from the Fashion Museum, Prey is one of those shops that sells clothes, gifts, interior bits and bobs and basically the kind that I feel has tapped into my psyche and dreamed up a shop just for me, complete with epic piglet cushions, obviously.

After Prey, we pottered over to Milsom Place, a haven of pop-up shops, boutiques and restaurants tucked away in the heart of Bath. A make-up tutorial and airbrushing demonstration at Little Lab followed, before we paid a visit to Magpie & Bear, an indie boutique that stocks labels such as Bodhi and Collard Manson and has the cutest shop mascot, in the form of Wookiee the dog.

The day ended with insanely tasty nibbles at Jamie’s Deli, yes, that Jamie, and drinks at the curiously decorated Hall & Woodhouse over on Old King Street – think stacks of baked beans and Fairy liquid sitting below crystal chandeliers. We were treated to some goodies to take home, including an annual pass to all of Bath’s local attractions, which I’m a tad over-excited about using!

I had a lovely day and can’t wait to come back to the city for Bath in Fashion, which runs from 13th – 21st of April. Thanks so much to Gina, Nicky, Amy and Sarah from Visit Bath for organising the afternoon and laying on so many treats and fashionable adventures!

You’re welcome – I loved learning more about the brands on offer, and Wookiee was such a cutie :)
