Scenes from my Diana F+

I have grand plans for a 2019 travel recap before it gets too far into 2020, but in the meantime let’s talk photography. I mentioned if recently but my camera collection has been gathering dust of late. I played photographer at my best friend’s wedding at the end of September, but other than that, I haven’t picked up a camera in a solid six months.

This is hardly groundbreaking information, but the quality of iPhone cameras these days is truly impressive, and I’ve come to heavily rely on my phone over the prospect of lugging a camera around. But it’s been niggling at the back of my mind for a while now, so last month I took my Diana F+ out for a spin, bringing it on a hike at Mount Tam, and a stroll around my neighbourhood.

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of double exposures, so many of these shots are attempts at imposing flowers over the sky, or vehicles over murals.

Here are some of my favourite results…

Painted Ladies double exposure
Red mustang double exposure
Mount Tam lomography photo
Haight Ashbury lomongraphy photo
Sutro Baths analogue photo
Flowers double exposure
