The Little Things #2

The Little ThingsI’m pretty sure I say this every month, but how is it June!? May has flown by, taking two bank holidays and one wedding anniversary with it. Since my last Little Things post there have been lots of reasons to be happy such as…

Blogging about: The craft project that took three and a half years to finish, this Wallis jumpsuit and the most photogenic day of my life so far.
Listening to: Lots of Bristol Festival of Ideas talks, including one by the founders of The Vagenda with Lyzi, and Print Out Bristol – an evening of conversation with Bristol’s wealth of indie publishers and magazine editors.
Watching: My very talented friend Shelley take part in a local fashion show, and getting to meet Arya Stark in the process. No Instagram filter on the planet can hide that cheesy fangirl grin…
Buying: Very little, since I’m saving up for holidays and festivals!
Reading: Vagenda: A Zero Tolerance Guide to the Media by Holly Baxter and Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett and The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson.
Doing: A spot of sprucing to this blogs header – using one of my lomography photos as a background. It’s not 100% perfect but it’s a big improvement. What do you think?
Visiting: The Gower and Cornwall, and Wales (again) to make the most of the bank holidays.
Eating: Avocado on toast, homemade pies and lots of sushi.
Wearing: Effie, the Mulberry bag Mr Ship-Shape bought me for our third wedding anniversary *swoon*
Shooting: Anything and everything to use up the first roll of my Diana Mini film – I can’t wait to see the results!
Enjoying: The four-week self defence course I took part in, which finished this week. Knowing that if I needed to, I could take down a 6.3ft, 18st assailant makes me feel both reassured and empowered.
Looking forward to: Glastonbury. My ticket arrived this week so the countdown has officially begun. Expect tweets about stage clashes and a healthy dollop of festival-themed posts throughout the month.

I would’ve freaked out if I met Maisie, Arya is my fave character! Effie is a beaut. ;)

Yay! The countdown to Glastonbury has begun! Not sure what shifts I’m working yet so I still don’t know who or what I’ll get to see but I’m sure it’ll be fab anyway! :-) x

Sounds like you’ve had a good May! The Vagenda talk was definitely one of my highlights too.
