Point Break Shirts and 100% Pure (Clothes Swap) Adrenaline

Patrick Swayze inspired outfitFirst things first, have you ever watched the classic early1990s thriller Point Break, starring bank robber Patrick Swayze and conflicted cop Keanu Reeves? Because if you haven’t then you might be wondering what this post title has to do with my outfit.

The film was released in 1991, which is pretty much the late 80s as far as advances in fashion went at the time, and whenever I wear this oversized chain print shirt, I can’t help but feeling liking I’ve stolen it straight of Bodhi/Swayze’s back. Although he probably would have turned his nose up at it in favour of a wetsuit, it’s what I think of every darn time.

I actually found it at last year’s blogger clothes swap after Emily brought it to trade (along with another fantastically ugly-but-I-love-it shirt that will pop up on here at some point). The beautiful bag is also a clothes swap find from a few years ago, and while it’s not the most practical size-wise, I love the laser cut detailing and metal clasp.

Is it too much of a cliche to say that I can’t believe it’s February, and question how quickly the year has gone already? We have friends coming over from the UK later this month and it won’t be long before we start planning my birthday, which might involve a little trip to New York, eep!

How is February treating you so far, brah?
