Angela Chase Thrift Shop Dress at Tank Hill

Angela Chase inspired Thrift shop dress and leather bootsSan Francisco is full of Heights and Hills, but I think, so far, Tank Hill might just be my favourite. Situated in the the South West of the city, it’s small, steep and unassuming. It’s also not too far from my current stomping ground, so it made for the perfect lazy, post-lunch walk on Christmas Day.

I found this rose print tea dress in a thrift shop the week before Christmas. Do you ever spot something and just know it will fit you, before you even try it on? That’s how I felt when I clocked this dress. It fits like a glove (a particularly snug one after Christmas, mind) and is an unusual style in my bursting-at-the-seams collection of floral dresses.

With the backpack, biker boots and forest green bowler hat, it reminds me of Angela Chase of My So-Called Life fame, though the rosebud print and soft half peplum detail might be just a little too feminine for AC.

I’m not sure why I look a little moody in these photos – we had a wonderful, if different, Christmas. I’m putting it down to the fact that my body was far too busy processing the enormous roast dinner I’d just eaten to remember to smile!

How is 2015 treating you so far?
