There has been an awful lot of waffle from me about San Francisco recently so I figured it was time to go back to basics with a long overdue outfit post, and it’s a good ‘un!
I was recently invited (along with a bunch of blogger beauties) to an event at DUO in Bath. For the uninitiated, DUO specialise in boots, and their beautiful space in Bath’s Milsom Street is more fitting room-cum-boduir than shoe shop. The event was in aid of discovering what Boot Tribe we all fitted into, the tribes being ankle boot, knee high and over the knee.
I knew straight away that I belonged to Team Ankle Boot (if it’s good enough for Alexa…) and fell in love with a black leather pair with gold clasp details called Anton. Anton has proved incredibly popular with the ladies but luckily the team managed to hunt down the last pair in the shop for me to try on. After the event (at which Emily and I went to town on the miniature carrot cakes and salmon blinis) DUO kindly sent a pair of Anton boots to me, and I couldn’t wait to shoot them in the setting of Bristol’s Castle Park.
I’ve finally started embracing autumn but I still refuse to wear tights unless absolutely necessary, so I paired my boots with my favourite midi skirt and a check shirt from Zara and a slick of MAC’s Ruby Woo lipstick.
I had such a great eventing in Bath so thank you to DUO for having me! If you want to read more about the event check out posts from Hayley, Laura and Gina. So now it’s over to you – what’s your boot tribe?
P.S. I’ve been working with the talented Charlene Lim on a few photo shoots and this is the first one. Charlene is Bristol-based and super lovely, so go say hello to her on Twitter and Facebook!

Ah, good choice! ;) I love mine too, they’re so well made. I know they’ll last!
I love them – they were one of the first things I packed in my suitcase, glad you’re enjoying yours, too.
Really love this outfit, those boots are beautiful!

LOVE these boots. They’d go with so many outfits, perfect staple boots.

The boot are great! I’m definitely an ankle boot girl…although I’m also tempted with over the knees, just not sure I’m tall enough to carry them off! Niki x
I am also tempted by over the knees! In my mind I’d pair them with shorts or skorts and a polo neck jumper a la Carrie from Wish Wish Wish but I’m not sure I could pull ’em off! x
