In the last few weeks lists have ruled my life. Lists of the pros and cons of moving, lists of the books I want to buy at the airport, lists of clothes that need storing/packing/selling… Lists make me happy in a very Rory Gilmore kind of way.
I’m currently down South visiting family and friends for the last time before we go. It’s been rather emotional, characterised by a few tears, several roast dinners and lots of slices of homemade cake. To ease the flux of emotions I’ve been making a list of some of the things I’m looking forward to about our move to San Francisco…
♥ Blueberry pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast
♥ Morning runs along the Embarcadero
♥ Weekend adventures to LA, Yosemite Park and Lake Tahoe
♥ Thrift shopping in the Mission District
♥ Swapping one iconic bridge for another
♥ American peanut butter
♥ Shopping trips to Sephora
♥ Browsing Pinterest and Apartment Therapy for tips to make our (inevitably) small flat look good
♥ Listing to this song while browsing the Goodwill on Haight Street
♥ Buying avocados by the bagful
♥ A new adventure
All of those sound wonderful!!
I would love the shopping and beautiful sunshine! When do you go? Still mega excited for you! I hope you make lots of new blogger friends.
This brings back so many memories…only we didn’t have sunny San Fran to look forward to! Its ace to be able to live abroad and experience different cultures, I’m sure you’ll love it. Enjoy soaking up all things British while you can! It’s funny, I was never particularly patriotic before we moved, but since we’ve been living abroad that’s started to change. Oh, you have to try pancakes with maple syrup and bacon. I vowed to never eat it but a friend convinced me and it’s gooooooooooooooooooood! x
