Fashion related (and totally non-fashion related) things that have made my world go round over the last seven days…
- The Olympics. I’m not a huge fan of watch sport on TV, but I’ve surprised myself at how frequently I’ve been screaming encouragement at the screen over the last week. Yesterday Team GB won more gold medals in a single day since 1908, and three of those were in one hour. I wish I could have been there to watch Jess Ennis, Greg Rutherford and Mo Farah in action!
- Kendall Calling. On Monday I got back from Cumbrian music festival Kendal Calling. Mr Ship-Shape and I saw Feeder, Shed Seven, James, Whiskycats and The Correspondents, to name a few bands, and although it did rain and I ended up with a nasty cold, we both had a cracking time.
- At the festival I found a chunky knit jumper which became the inspiration for my second post for Oxfam Fashion. The post is a ‘how to’ guide to de-bobbling knitwear, a pet peeve that I have when it comes to buying second hand jumpers. Fortunately this trick is so simple to do – I hope you find it useful too.
- Rock N Roll Bride. Although I got hitched over a year ago, Kat’s Rock n Roll Bride blog is still on my Bloglovin’ feed. Wy? Because as well as awesome real life weddings (that do sometimes make me wonder ‘should I have done that?’) the blog is also packed with awesome blogging info, like how to speed up your site and the occasional motivational post, too.
